German LAN event banned.

German state Baden-Württemberg bans one of the most famous German LAN events, the Convention-X-Treme. This event is not allowed to to be held in this state due to playing "Killergames" such as Counter-Strike and Warcraft III.

The event should've been held in late August with more than 400 gamers attending but yet again an event will be stopped due to the school shootings and it's after-effects in Germany. The politicians of Baden-Württembergs town Karlsdorf-Neuthard will not allow the event to play so called killer games such as "Warcraft III" and Counter-Strike which leads to the cancellation of the whole event.

The event organisers have announced they are currently looking for another location where they can hold their events in the future and they will also transfer back all the money people have paid for signing up. In stark comparison it is reported that from August 8th to 9th the same town will hold their shooting contests at the local gun club for kids below the age of 14.

Earlier this year the Friday Night Games of the ESL Pro Series in Stuttgart, Karlsruhe and Nuremberg were also banned for quite the same reason. It looks like there are still hurdles to overcome between the German politicians and competitive gaming.

Qualifications iGn tmnf Formula 1 8th GP Silverstone - Results

The players who are qualified (place 1-22) and the substitutes (>22):


In case of no-shows, not directly qualified players will get a chance to play the finals.
Of course the player with the 23rd rec will be the first substitute, followed, in this order, by the players with the recs 24, 25, 26....., depending of the number of no-shows.
The possible substitutes have to be on the server in spectator mode before the start of the race to have a chance to be allowed to take the places of the eventual no-show(s).


The finals will take place Sunday at 20:00 hours and will be in laps mode.

Don't forget to go to the pit in time to refuel.
Don't try to respawn or enter, since this will stop the race for you.

Only enter when you crash and cannot drive anymore, leave the server, reconnect again and continue the race.
In this case your chances to win this GP are reduced, but you still can get points for the season score.

Don't leave the server after finishing before the time of the map ends, since this wipes your cp's of the scoreboard

Well yes, I'm at LAN-Macht at the moment doing a Trackmania compo. We are playing free for all, so everybody joins the server, drives their best times, and the best of them go on to the final. Here are the results so far:

1st round:

1st map ESWC 03-03 : 1st place
2nd map ESWC 03-04: 1st place
3rd map ESWC 03-05: 1st place

Through to the next round as #1

Semi-final:

1st map ESWC 03-03: 2nd place
2nd map ESWC 03-04: 1st place
3rd map ESWC 03-05: 1st place
4th map ESWC 03-01: 2nd place
5th map ESWC 03-02: 2nd place

Through to the final as #1

Final:

1st map ESWC Grand Final 2008 #2 1st place
2nd map ESWC Grand Final 2008 #3 3rd place
3rd map ESWC Grand Final 2008 #4 2nd place
4th map ESWC Grand Final 2008 #5 no time (pc crash when I didn't set a time yet)
5th map ESWC Grand Final 2008 #1 no time (had to play on a weird laptop from someone else and couldn't figure out the screen)

Final result: 3rd place ( would be second if it wasnt for my damn pc to fuck up!)
