FOM February 2009 CHRONICLES: THURSDAY
FOM started for me a bit earlier than it did for anybody else, since, already
thursday, i had to get Naor and his father @ the Brussels Airport to bring them
to their hotel.
Naor is now during 8 months the leader of our great Fifa team and he we get along
so well that he was willing to even go trough a lot of trouble and to spend some
of his own money to be able so see us in real life.
We paid a part of the cost of all this, but not everything, and Naor was happy to
pay for the other part.
To be able to find each other @ the airport, i made a big board with 'Naor' on
it, but still, we looked half an hour after each other, despite the fact that
they could call each me from the moment they got out of the plane and tell me
when they would be "outside".
It was al about the meaning of the word "outside": is it outside the gate or
outside the building?
So we kept looking for each other in different places, until we bumped on each
other by coincidence and they saw the board i made.
A lot of us know that Naor is a very nice guy, but we never had any contact with
his father.
But soon i discovered that he had an equally nice and socialising father as he
was himself.
This was promising for the lanparty.
After more than 5 hours of flight, a plane that was one hour to late and half an
hour looking for me, they were finally sitting in my car, ready for the road to
the hotel.
We took the road from Zaventem via Asse, Dendermonde and than took the direction
of Lokeren till Zele, were we had ordered a room for them.
After verifying whether the rooms and the service there were as promised by the
hotelkeepers, we agreed that i would come and get them @ 9 am the next morning to
bring them to FOM.
It was a crazy day for me, running around all day to do other urgent things, then
hurrying to the airport and from there to their hotel, and return back home.
I left @ 4:30 pm for the airport and came home @ about 11 pm.
All that for only one player, but Naor build an incredible Fifa team in our
community, a team that is almost from the beginning and until now @ the top of
the ESL ladder, he is leading this team very well, recruiting top players as if
it were the easiest task in the world, due to his many contacts in the Fifa
scene, and, above all, he is very loyal to iGn and wants to belong nowhere but
here.
So, we figuered that he deserves entirely that we do this cost and effort for
him...and we did.

Ben daar niet zo lang geweest, maar toch kennis gemaakt met Kefke, Smoeshie, Zyrax, Grimzie, Enjoy, Rob, Pol, Demey, Huisman & Naor.
Op da uurke en een half toch 8 potten gepakt.

Zaterdag middag. Tussen 2 en 4. Lang bij kefke gestaan. En met smoeshie en demey buiten en aan den toog
