Trailer:

Story:

A severe sandstorm falls on Dubai, trapping the inhabitants and the men of the 33rd Company who where sent into Dubai to help evacuate the city. The U.S. military assumed that both the civilians and the soldiers were lost at the mercy of the sandstorm. But then finally an S.O.S. message was recieved from within the city limits which was sent out by Colonel John Conrad. Cpt. Walker, leader of the Delta Force, (the character you play) is sent into Dubai to locate Colonel Conrad and help him continue his mission to evacuate civilians from Dubai.

Gameplay:

As far as the gameplay goes, 'Spec Ops' delivers some nice options such as: cover, vault over, sprint out,... but haven't we seen that in many shooters in the last few years? What is also remarkable in the game is the pressence of your 2 teammembers. You can command them to attack or snipe down any target in the area or to throw a flashbang or fraggrenade if you yourself are pinned down during combat. Now i hear the critics saying: "So what, like 'Spec Ops' is the only game who does that..." I know but the difference in 'Spec Ops' is that your teammembers also get into combat themselves WITHOUT getting in your way, which would theoritcly even make it possible to finish the game all on your own... (and i have to admit, that is something i haven't seen much lately, either teammembers get in your way or they do absolutely nothing if you don't command them...)

What suprised me the most was actualy the start of the game. Rather then giving a full naration about the story, you immediatly (after the startscreens off course...) start whith some action having to shoot down some enemy helicopters.

Visual:

I must admit 'Spec Ops: The Line' is not a visual 'wow-game' but nonetheless environments are enjoyable. Even when you start the game, you almost emmidiately feel yourself 'into' the game. You get some kind of semi-Vietnamwar / Semi-Gulfwar feel where you fight your way through open fields and closed buildings. A nice visual aspect is also the occational sandstorm that pops up, though this makes shooting harder...

Multiplayer

Sorry guys but i don't do online shooters becouse i am no good at it zunge raus so this is for you to find out if you want to play the game.

Overal comments:

If you are a fan of the shooter genre i would definately recommend this game and if you are the kind of person that doesn't want to spend a whole lot of mony on it i would surely recommend to keep an eye on the used games section for 'Spec Ops: The Line'
